StubHub Becomes Official Partner of Ole Miss Athletics

Ole Miss LogoStubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, has signed a multi-year agreement with the University of Mississippi to become the official ticket resale marketplace for Ole Miss Athletics. The agreement is in partnership with Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement, provider of integrated ticketing and marketing services, and IMG, the university’s multimedia rights partner.

The partnership with Ole Miss marks the sixth SEC property on StubHub’s roster of NCAA partnerships. StubHub is a major partner and sponsor in the collegiate space, supporting more than 40 Division I universities.

“StubHub is the industry leader in the secondary market, and we are excited to provide Rebel Nation the benefits of this partnership,” said Ole Miss Athletics Director Ross Bjork. “StubHub offers a secure, convenient and reliable solution to buy and sell tickets and will work seamlessly with our existing ticketing platforms. Since football season tickets are sold out and only a limited number of single-game tickets remain, StubHub is the best avenue for Ole Miss fans to meet their ticket needs, particularly for SEC games.”

Through StubHub’s strategic partnership integration with industry leader Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement, Rebel season ticket holders will access StubHub as their official secondary ticket marketplace. The service is a fully-integrated platform that allows season- and single-game ticket holders to resell tickets with confidence and ease. It also provides buyers a safe and secure shopping experience, with instant tickets upon purchase via mobile delivery or print-at-home.

“We are delighted to enhance our partnership with the University of Mississippi and provide a platform to access great seats and drive fan experiences via the world’s largest marketplace,” said Kim Damron, chief operating officer, Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement. “Through our partnership with StubHub, Ole Miss fans will be able to utilize an innovative and fan-friendly platform to buy and resell tickets, and get the best value they’re looking for.”

The industry-leading technology, paired with StubHub’s wealth of data, will also provide Rebel fans with the clearest pricing guidance and the most accurate recommendations to get the very best value. Every transaction is also backed by StubHub’s 100% money-back Fan Protect Guarantee and access to exceptional 24/7 customer service.

“We are thrilled to expand our reach in the SEC with a power school like Ole Miss,” said Brian O’Malley, sr. manager, business development, StubHub. “As we work with Spectra Ticketing & Fan Engagement to offer the technology and tools for a truly seamless and secure ticketing experience for Rebel fans, we are also excited to continue our work with IMG to expand our presence at athletic events and connect with the Ole Miss community to make it easier than ever to support their team.”

In addition to the ticketing integration, StubHub will receive a portfolio of sponsorship and marketing assets, including social collaborations as well as digital and in-venue advertising and promotions at football and basketball games. This includes activations such as StubHub’s signature “Move of the Game,” wherein an Ole Miss season ticket holder is surprised with upgraded premium seats at an athletic event. The sponsorship and marketing rights are managed by IMG, the multimedia rights holder and sports marketing company for Ole Miss Athletics.

Ole Miss joins five other SEC schools in the StubHub portfolio; Louisiana State University and Mississippi State University (2016); University of Georgia (2013), Auburn University (2012) and University of Alabama (2012).
