WWE® and StubHub Announce Multi-Year Agreement

image003WWE (NYSE: WWE) and StubHub today announced they have reached a multi-year agreement, naming StubHub the company’s exclusive ticket resale marketplace for fans in the United States and Canada.  Through StubHub, WWE’s passionate fan base will have a trusted destination for buying and selling tickets for the most sought-after WWE events.

The agreement is in place in time for fans still looking for ticket options for WrestleMania® 33, which takes place this Sunday, April 2 at the Orlando Citrus Bowl.  In addition to WrestleMania 33, fans can also use StubHub to see ticket options for the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the Amway Center on Friday, March 31; NXT® TakeOver® at the Amway Center on Saturday, April 1; Monday Night Raw® at the Amway Center on Monday, April 3; and SmackDown® Live at the Amway Center on Tuesday, April 4.

NCAA Final Four Ticket Demand – March 27, 2017

The 2017 NCAA Final Four teams have been decided. South Carolina, Gonzaga, Oregon and North Carolina are in the race for a title shot. With just under a week left until games begin, StubHub takes a look at ticket demand for this year’s Final Four events.

 

How does demand compare to last year’s Final Four in Houston?

Demand based on ticket sales is up from last year. We attribute this to  Gonzaga’s and South Carolina’s first-ever appearances in the Final Four, and Oregon’s first return since 1939.

As of March 27, ticket sales have been registered from 49 U.S. states and 5 unique countries. Outside the U.S., most come from Canada, yet sales have been registered as far as Ukraine and Australia.

Cross-border Sales

As of today (Wed, March 22), 4.4% of sales for the 2017 NCAA Final Four come from outside of the U.S. The majority come from Canada, although StubHub has had buyers from as far away as Australia and the UK.

The Los Angeles Angels Reach Agreement with StubHub to Become the Club’s Official Ticket Resale Marketplace

The Los Angeles Angels today announced a multi-year agreement with StubHub, designating the company as the official ticket resale marketplace of the Los Angeles Angels. The agreement enables StubHub to offer Angels fans a fully integrated ticketing solution and provide a seamless user experience.

With Angels tickets fully integrated with the StubHub platform, all Angels season seat holders and single-game ticket buyers can resell and purchase tickets with confidence and ease with the Angels’ safest and most secure way to transmit tickets. In addition to the ticketing integration, StubHub’s industry-leading technology also provides tools for customers, including pricing guidance for sellers and panoramic 360-degree virtual view-from-seats for buyers.

Through its partnership with the Los Angeles Angels, StubHub will receive full marketing and sponsorship benefits, including in-stadium signage, marketing assets and integration with Angels season seat holder accounts on angels.com, allowing season seat holders to post their Angels tickets for sale on StubHub with ease.

The Week in Events – NBA and NHL – March 13, 2017

As both NBA and NHL head toward the end of the regular season, StubHub takes a look at what matchups are generating the most demand this week.

NBA

The Cavs top the list of the most in-demand games with two games scheduled in L.A. during the weekend, stealing last week’s thunder from the Warriors.

The average ticket price for Golden State Warriors games is down nearly  24% from last week. Possible reasons for this decrease could be last week’s three-game losing streak and Kevin Durant’s absence.
